I was there the day before as well but couldn't get there for Chris's effort. A shame as the atmosphere was terrific.

Interesting he rode the 2-up with Jens Voigt who was very impressive in the Tour today.

Also nice to see the retro film of Merckx's record attempt and the interview with Ernesto Colnago. There's always a bit of controversy as to who did build Eddy's frames. At least this one's a cert!
