rBoTM November RBotM - Theme - Tandems and Trikes - Enter Now!!!!!

road Bike of The Month
Can I enter this, whilst it's actually owned by a friend of mine, he's isn't really on the net, and I'm inline to be the next custodian of it.

It's a George Longstaff Snipe 3x2 ATT, absolutely dripping in retro goodness, fillet brazed 531, Pace RC36 with LX front V-brakes, a pair of Hope mechanical discs on the rear, thumb shifters and a dart/double smoke tyre combo, but more than that, it was custom built and presented to Derek Purdy.
Turns out he never used it, and my friend ended up purchasing it directly from Derek's son, after Derek's passing.

That's cool 😎

I think you need another top tube, or down tube, or would it be a 2nd middle tube??? 🤔 ;)

Really interesting machine and love the 1st gen Hope mechanical discs for stopping power on the rear!

I wonder what it's like along some tight singletrack?!* ;)🤣

@bobby-gg As far as I know you must presently own it and must be '98 or '99 and earlier unless things have changed. Personally I like it, and say go ahead if it is old enough, but I do not make the rules. Still a great example of of trike ingenuity.

Edit: what is the rear width? Thanks!

I managed find my photos from previous owner before I took possession, but looks kind of funky except detailed images of mechanical stuff. Looking the bars, but have better saddles than what was on the bike if they'll mount okay. On holiday right now so hopefully I'll get it built up before the month's end, and of course ride it again.
