British Racing Green with Cream panels on down tube and seat tube, decals in red script, brown brooks saddle and matching bar tape.

Oh and red box lining at the intersction between the panels and BRG, chrome dropouts, right-hand chainstay and 1/2 fork legs

and a big overdraft!

Just ask yourself, how many green road bikes have you seen?

There's a reason for that.

For some reason green used to be considered to be an unlucky colour by UK road racers. (Not sure if that's still the case) Early 90s I once considered having Frank Herety build me a frame and he threw a colly-wobbler when I suggested having it painted green.

But if you aren't going to race it, then.....

But it would not be within the spirit of the intended purpose of the bike when originally built.

Personally, I swear by Gios Blue. But that's because I have a Gios....

I don't mean this in a bad way. I think it would look good. How about wood effect?

I've gone for maroon, but I also reckon the lugs need to be silver.

But Green was a stock colour for hetchins, one of the classic british builder.

This site has some truely amazing british colour schemes, and it is a british bike, not some namby-pamby italian princess of a bike

Def not Bianchi blue! Personally I am leaning towards 70s orange but its all in the detail... lug lining coloured bands etc

the cost will soon get seriously high!!
