If I remember correctly Diamond Back's have never used mono stay seat stays - but I could be wrong... also my '92 Response had a 1 1/8 inch head tube so it being a 1 inch counts against it too. It certainly isn't a 2002 model as listed with a canti hanger and the 1 inch head tube!
The mention of 'High light' titanium could be a reference to 'hi-light' who made Airborne's frames in China and still sell Airborne spec frames under their own name.
And yes I too seem to remember it was Sandvick who made the Ti Diamond Back frames in the US back on the '90s.

I'm not 100% sure Sandvick made the real ones, but you mentioning it just sounds right if that makes sense!... now you've got me wanting to be sure...doing a bit of a search on this site, I found this: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... amond+axis so yes they were made by Sandvik (and yes we were spelling it wrong!). Gee that Axis TT in the catalogue is nice! I'd really like a Ti bike one day.
