(Not) Hope MTB

As mentioned above I too wonder how reliable the main triangle can be on any of these though...it will be taking a bet as it depends on storage.

Never trust a top end frame with a rattle-can finish
Especially if the vendor:
doesn't know what it is,
only wants a few quid
and is difficult to deal with.

What do you think?😉

Yeah I have one. 👍 😁
It's the earlier 1995 model with the slight differences as outlined by Kalle @Frankenorange
It was in the for sale pile until the other day but I decided to give it another bash.
Rides nicely but indistinguishable from a nice steel frame to me. Weighs in at a touch under 1700g for a medium sized frame so light but not silly light.
Nice bikes that I think most wouldn't be disappointed with. 👍 😁
It's probably going to stay, as I said it's a nice ride and something a little different.
I think if they'd done a top spec 'halo' model it would be seen in a better light these days.

Diamondback trashed their brand with a Raleigh style race to the bottom.

Usually has a negative effect on collectable values down the line
