It's not an RTS-1.

It's either a 2 or 3 with incorrect (and mismatched) decals fitted.

It looks like a nice frame, but it isn't worth whatever his reserve is.

The problem has always been that he thinks it's something that it's not. Hence a year later he still can't sell it. If he auctioned it with an honest description, no reserve and good pictures it'd sell for anything between £75 - 150 (on a really good day, with two keen bidders). Ball burnished RTS's are the most desirable and the piggy-back shock helps, the average eBay punter won't actually care that it's not US built as it has the classic 'look' that their nostalgia craves.
