i have used a 27.0 where it should have been 27.2 before and never had any issues. a half decent seat clamp will make up the difference easily.

sorry - but exactly such bike-"mechanics" are the reason of so many broken clamp-areas (all the poor kleins, groves) and so many broken frames (fats, rockys, brodies and so on)!

if theres an inner diameter with exactly 27.20mm - theres no way for a 27.00mm outer diameter post

boo hoo

worked fine for me on a nice springy titanium frame with a high quality seat clamp. thats all i am saying as its all it is. no cracks no creaks and no problems. cheers then.

Anecdotal evidence that you did some crap mechanics and it's been fine so far is at best useless and at worst has the potential to help someone else trash their bike.

having been an engineer most of my life i prefer to see what actually happens in the real world not what my bunched up pants think i should believe. easy to be offensive and call me a crap mechanic but at the end of the day .2 of a mil` is less to worry about than your poxy jibes. sorry to be messing a thread up. all to easy to be a top mechanic on a push bike.
