Hi all, this NOS Rockshox SID SL Pure Dual Air 80mm shock fork:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/306192392828
Assuming a 24 year old NOS fork likely need new seals, are they obtainable anywhere?
Anyone got a service manual for these or a parts diagram?
Can remote lockout be retro-fitted?
To install on a '99 Hei Hei with P2s 420mm axle-to-crown - i think these frames designed for 80mm travel fork?
Aside from price, would these be a good choice technology-wise?
Thanks!
PS my first post in about 5 years on here, just about remembered my password!

It may not need new seals - I have 3 or 4 SIDs, all bought used with no info on service history, and not a single one has needed maintenance in a decade +. They don't even seem to lose air over the winter months.

I have no complaints about performance either - they seem to work well.

I have a remote lockout dial kit of these forks, no lever though (nos) if you wanted to go that route.

Seals should be available, until recently rockshox did, maybe still do 28mm forks so seals may be compatible. Enduro is also a good source, kits come up from time to time. Srp may also do kits as they do Judy ones, desks are the same.

I've got a pair of these, serviced once in 20 years.
Ridden loads.

I had to top up the air pressure yesterday, it had dropped from 120 to 100psi since last pumped, in 2024😃

Having said that, it's a strong price. A vgc used pair (which might actually be more reliable from having had some movement) id value at 250.
