NOS Klein handlebar - Graffiti paint

[SF Klein]

Seller says it's from late 80's but the Graffiti splatter paint didn't come until early 90's. I've only seen the Stratum flat handlebars by Klein. Did they offer something else prior to the Stratum or is this perhaps a Stratum painted in Graffiti? Or is it something else entirely? Hmmm.... :? :?:

I thought so but after my gaff yesterday on the Spinner fork, I didn't want to make any proclamations that this handlebar wasn't genuine and then be corrected again.

That paint is not even close to original Graffiti

but, maybe it is one of a kind bar from Klein...who knows :roll:

If you look closely at the first picture...

Below the paint can quite clearly be seen the word 'Taiwan' stamped in to the bar (RHS of pic)

I think that, and the Tipex quality paint is sufficient evidence against this being anything remotely Klein-related...

Just for ref, I enquired about these for a real old skool steel build,but at 540g , they were hardly going to be high grade cro-mo, so I passed. . . I'm going to ask about the weight of these splatters. . Looks like it'd be kleins first piece of cro-mo if it these are what they look like to me. .

As I said before - you can read the word 'Taiwan' in the picture on the bar.

Irrelevant of what year the seller is attempting to pass them off as, they are not by Klein.

And I'll eat my Klein headset rubber seals if I'm proven wrong.

Which would probably be the most expensive meal I've ever had, and possibly one of my healthiest also...
