Surely the seller wouldn't have sent the levers to them for that price, or was they actually getting away with it.

Maybe they made enough money to take out a high court super-injuction.

I'm not actually against a little 'bidding up' of items here and there.. but this kinda thing goes way above that.. sad state of affairs and no mistake.

Its easy to get out of though if you are the unfortunate seller that gets scammed like this, in this instance if ebay side with the buyer (as usual :roll the 'levers could get 'lost' in the mail and then give you give a refund, all it costs you is ebay/pp fees - pain in the arse but better than handing money to scum.

Also you have their mail address so a few packages of something that stinks should follow, prawns or such like

I'm waiting to see if he will grace us with a mea culpa, as he might happen upon this thread. I will also reveal to anyone who has sustained damages, via pm. Also, site administrator and perhaps a mod or two, will be privy, since they might know of a situation where this information might be useful.

The member is active, both here and on ebay, but not under the name, odessitka42. That name is no longer found on the ebay seller list.

Look, you are close to punishing someone, you already indicated it by some sort of last respite. Problem is you are neither police nor justice, not even involved as I can see. Neither is the retrobike staff you are trying to ally with.

The problem appeared on ebay, and ebay has employees to deal with such problems in the context of law written down. I don't see why on this retrobike site ebay problems should be sorted, really. Point is, there's hardly any good coming from things or behaviour like that.
