Non Triple Triangle GT Mountain Bike

Saw this on eBay. I love GT bikes and the Triple Triangle design. Own three GT Zaskar, Bravado and Avalanche. (looking for a cheap Lobo)

Seeing the non Triple Triangle frame raised a question. When was it introduced? What was the first production GT mountain bike to have it?

This has been discussed elsewhere on the boards and I think the thread was heading towards saying it wasnt a GT at all. The decals are too late for the non trip GT's which iirc were the very very early models.

I may be wrong though, as I didnt follow the thread with any real interest...after all it was talking about GT's

I seem to remember them doing non TT bikes in the late 80s, early 90s. Very low end ones like the Outpost. No self-respecting GT would be without the TT!
