Hi,

This appaling behaviour is happening to dogs every day of every week.
It is getting worse due to the ecomomic situation

All the dog rescue's are full to overflowing. If you can help, please do, by giving a dog a home, or by giving a rescue kennel some food etc. Some people foster dogs until a permanent home can be found......

A dog really should be for life

last year we tried to adopt a dog from battersea dog rescue . It is impossible . they wont give you any details over the phone and after a few trains journeys to london , it was a lot cheaper to buy a dog .
shame as lots of dogs we liked .

rescue kennels have been brimming for at least 5 years..

It'd help if they adopted a put to sleep policy.. give the healthy dogs a chance instead of trying to rehome that 15 year old Jack Russell with bad hips and diabetes..

I found the same when looking for a cat once. As living in a flat with no garden. So went to a pet shop and paid the money.
It really to easy. No wonder they get dumped

@ IDB1..

While i would agree that some dogs are old and have problems, would you advocate this for the NHS. It would save Billions of £'s and free up many hospital beds, and care home places

We should really be looking at breeders who breed un-necessary amounts of dogs, and then dump them when they dont sell; people who treat dogs as accessories, ( i know of i couple who dumped their dog because " their kids had left home so they didn't ned it anymore" ), and people who really just don't think about the future; " we're have a baby, and so i don't want a dog around any more". YES it happens

1kers
