from reading this it is pretty clear that Ian was simply the address in the uk and there was no suggestion inferred or implied of Ian doing anything wrong.

I think the point is some guy has got an m900 equipped bike, which looked pretty minty aside from the scratches caused during transit, then claimed his money back by saying it never arrived.

I do remember the corroded seat tube saga from this seller also though   did someone mention karma?
To my knowledge, the buyer got a partial refund from paypal, but I don't know the details. All I do know is that during the process the seller wasn't too nice and polite.

I've locked and binned a few and tried to remove all details, Are there any more? PM me or link to them please.

I feel sorry for. You tried to do someone a favour who seems to have used your postage address to be able to secure a refund from paypal, and the seller who should've packaged better now you're caught in the middle.

Great, I look forward to lots of spam via the post and mobile sales calls.

Here is his previous attempt at threatening the buyer:

I should also point out that the pics used in the sale thread weren't quite true to the condition bike arrived in either. For example, the wheels, especially the rear, were barely laced up at all - I could squeeze spokes together with little pressure. The saddle was also ripped/torn. The cassette sprockets were so loose on the rivets that I'd not advise using it (I still have this sitting around if physical evidence is needed to back up these wild facts I'm throwing around).

To use a phrasee that I think fits - mutton dressed as lamb.

I obviously have no need to care as it was not my purchase, but as the middle man for delivery, I wanted to make sure the buyer knew what had arrived and would in turn be posted on. Glad I took the pics as normally I am more trusting with retrobike folk.

Cheers, feeling a bit wounded myself for helping a member out. Tbh I don't think it is their fault - as I said they received the refund via the paypal dispute process, and whilst I have no clue at all how that went, what was invlved etc, Paypal must have sided with the buyer for a reason, as to my knowledge and what you read online, they tend to side with the seller.
