Newcastle brown u.s. tv add

I suppose showing miners would be a touchy subject over here, especially with what sits in the big chair these days.

Newcastle's ok. Prefer this myself. Local (to me) as well.

:? my local ale....sends you nuts.

Not quite so local any more though - now brewed in Tadcaster at John Smith's, in which case you'd be better off with some of the excellent bottled beers from their smaller rival (Sam Smith's) down the road.

Yet another interesting brew from North America which fails to make it to this side of the Atlantic, I suspect. :(

You can't swing a cat round here without hitting a microbrewery. Quite fond of the Grand River Brewery's Plowman's Ale and Curmudgeon IPA (the brewery is around the corner from the hospital I was born in, so it's my official home beer). Stonehammer's quite tasty, and the Mill St. Brewery's Tankhouse and Stock Ales are good. I just can't get myself to pull the trigger for any of the beers from Flying Monkeys Brewery, though.
