New wheels orderd!

Just placed an order with Stif (my old LBS of the mid 90's) for a set of Hope Hoops, Pro 3 XC3 hubs on Stans no tubes 355 rims.

673 grams font
810 grams rear
1483 total :shock:

These will be my round town wheels on the RC300, at least untill I feel confident with them.

Black only on the Pro3 hoops apparantly Otherwise it would of been blue.

The whole bike is going for a 3 bolt look, Middleburn Duo's with its 3 bolt pattern, then the Pro3 XC3 with 3 bolt discs...gonna cost a silly amount to get replacements when they wear!

Interested to hear how you get on with the Pro III design.

Looked into them myself but plumped for Pro IIs as they seem to appear more resilient

Yeah I thought about that, but to be honest the RC300, like my other Pace bikes is ridden carefully so shouldnt take too much of a beating.

That front wheels a bit heavy, my old retro front hope/araya wheel is 660g

Rear's a lot lighter though

Pro 3 are excellent. Wouldn't buy any other hub. The red ano version is so good to look at. In fact any ano version is sweet. I had red, gold. Had a black since 07 and still smooth as silk.
