I have Mavic D321 that match the swingarm in colour.

I'm a believer fork colour should match the seat post, same angle same colour opposite corners of the bike.

Squareness of the stem matches the swingarm nicely, holes in it don't and colour is opposite cornder again.

That said I like the bike, it'd be great to be abale to pick and choose parts to make a perfect looking build.

The forks have sentimental value, had them from new and they still work really well. The swing arm is supposed to be XTR grey according to Marin, agree it does not match the colour scheme, since I took all the XTR bits off the bike.

I have ordered the wheels, blue hubs - silver spokes - blue nipples and silver rims. I will look for a silver outer Middleburn chainring.

As usual with these things the bike looks much better in the flesh.

this is the first time i saw this thread, so no point in voting but i would have bought exactly what you have ordered wheels wise for this. i've never been a fan of mavic offroad wheelsets, pain in arse to get spares for most of the time and even if you can it's not alway fanancially worth it.

good choice though, the hubs will match the qr's and seat post clamp etc. and those wheels always come up best of test/value for money in every mag outhere in the UK. (and it's what i use and recommend to everyone i know as an allround light-ish xc quality wheel set)

i do agree that the top ring needs to go though, i think chainrings should be silver or black and that is it. personally i would like to see a matching colour fork and swing arm on this aswel, i think the nicest option would be to paint the forks to match the swing arm. this would bring it all together because the frame/fork would be silver and grey and the rest would be black, silver or blue, and black is innevitable on any bike somewhere leaving the blue as the ano theme.

they are a good bike those, of course all this talk is predominantly asthetic related, if you wanted a performance upgrade i would suggest getting an rp23 shock from mojo as that would improve the performance more than anythingelse you could do.

my 2p.

:D

or polish the rear to match the front orpaint te rear white to match the forks! white silver and blue
