here you go ernie.. i don't think the solution using the older shimano canti straddle wires will work as you need two large barrels. not one barrel and a bare end.
The left one hooks up catching the small soldered lump (of a road bike brake end?) the right has a little bolt to clamp it to the bare cable. They are are also pretty thick.
