New car/bike bus advice

+1 for Berlingo or Partner. Look stupid but epically practical. You'll wonder how you ever managed without sliding doors :) If you've got small kids that need lifting in and out of seats your back'll thank you too.

I'd put in a vote for the big-ish Skoda estates.

Seem to be everywhere, and used by emergency services.

I keep getting drawn back to a big 5 series diesel estate. Lovely. Mercs of the same era? Pah.

Other options if it were me? Either Honda Accord diesel estate or Mazda 6. If you're feeling saucy and not planning on doing high mileage, Subaru Legacy estate.

Knock that van/MPV nonsense right out the window too

Oh aye, this is defintely an STW thread, get yerself over there if you haven't posted there already :)

Do lots of research before you consider a Diesel Accord. If they have the same clutch as the Diesel Civic (which im sure they do) then avoid like the plague. Also if your in the Leeds area dont even bother with Honda main dealers, infact anywhere in the UK be wary of Honda main dealers.

Get an e46 BMW touring with a petrol engine - 320d is too much hassle, and the e46 is a classic (I had one and loved it, my new e90 is great but just not as good a car...)
