New (sort of) size Medium Amp Research B3 frame and shock
OK so I may be bending the use of 'new' a little as this has been hidden in the back of my workshop for a long time and as a consequence has got a little beat up but here's hoping it can find a new home with an enthusiastic retro biker and finally live out its potential.
I doub't there is anything I can tell anyone on these forums about the significance of this brand and the design. Amp brought many pioneering ideas to the Mountain bike, the Horst Link being the most significant but does anyone remember their ultra light 3 bolt disc brakes? or the leading link fork (they were hell to service!!). Last I heard they were now making good money manufacturing a tail gate extension fence for flat bed trucks.
Anyway, it was a great find and with it I discovered 2 new working dampers so I have put one in the frame and the other will sell seperately. The dig continues and if I turn up anything else relevant I will try to post here.
Both items I have put on ebay with low starting prices so hopefully they can find a good home with someone who will make a really class build from them.
You can find the bike and plenty of images if you do a search on ebay, I posted them today for 7 day listing. Any questions or need a link please PM me.
The huge task of clearing out my workshop continues so if I find anything else that could be of retrobike interest I will try to post something here. I already found some other amazing stuff I never knew I had including 2 brand new proshift front mechs and some crazy old cranks that I already rehomed via ebay.
