The new 5er is a disgrace after the beautiful E60. I don't understand why Bangle gets so much bullshit for his designs. Personally, I like the work he did for BMW. At least the BMWs he designed were recognisable and had a certain grace that the vulgar new 7 and 5 blatantly lack.

Bangle has the design nous of a goldfish, design for design's sake. The prettiest 5 series were the e34 and e39, at least they were recognisable as BMWs!!!

The e28 is the best 5er...

I just got my promo emyther from BMW UK and the pics of the new 5 looked great (so I thought anyway!!!)

Looks much leaner and cleaner to me too. Interior Materials quality is also supposed to be a big step up. Let's see how they do on driving dynamics. The previous generation seemed to take a step back in that regard with stuff like Active Steering. The new version with 5 onboard cameras, lane departure warning, etc. could further isolate the driver but I hope not.
