Saw this yesterday and could be just the think if you fancy doing a custom home spray job on a frame.

The celeste blue looks good in the frame done in the bikeradar
film.

Re:

Excited by this much needed product. How tough is it in day to day use though ? I guess it's easy to retouch but if it scratches too easily it could be a pita. Needs more colours and gloss ones too.

Re:

This stuff could be great if:

a) the finish is more hard-wearing than standard spray cans

b) the spray pattern is narrow enough so that you don't waste 3/4 of it painting the air as you do when painting a frame with a standard spray can

It would also be ideal if a large company such as Halfords were to stock a large choice of colours.

And the narrower the spray the harder it is to avoid over-application and runs! But we all love a challenge! But at £30 for a strip and powder oat I might just save myself the stress!

Re:

there is the transparent varnish for a top coat available for a satin or gloss finish.

If you have a decent powder coat company nearby that would save a lot of hassle. I was after a silver and its not available.

A few years ago I had great success using Humbrol enamel paint and an air brush to refinish a kids bike
I flatted down the existing paint finish and applied the new paint outside on a wind free day.
The air drying enamel dried to a hard wearing finish that was easily touched up if required
They do a wide range of colours available from any model/craft shop

Now I remember, I met 2 blokes on the eurobike parking lot. They were spray painting a fixed frame with this paint for their booth. Insane colors and for cans the result was prety good. I wonder how long all the fluo collors will keep their brightness.

They were nice guys btw, punk shirts, beer sharing, riding fixies 8)
