Hey peeps. I won that rear blue ringle hub which is cool :) Now I need it building into a wheel. Would it be wise building a wheel from scratch (new hub and new rim) OR maybe it may be better just substituting the hub on an existing wheel?

Recommendations? Anyone on here fancy the job? Will pay of course?

Happy to do a build......

Happy to do a build, both on a new or used rim - ask John for an independant reference.

New rim will always give a better result long term, but if the old rim is straight and round it will be a close second. Basically, if the rim is good before it is built into a wheel the spoke tensions can be even which will give good life. If the spoke tensions are uneven from the start to make it round and true the wheel won't last long term. Best test for old rims is cut it out of the old wheel and hold it against a known good wheel/rim to check for deviations.

If you need a new rim I have/can get a variety or am happy to use whatever you supply. (I can also do Blue nipples to match the hub if you fancy).
