Looks like a 92, could be a 93, would depend on the size of the headtube, 92 used 1.1/4 93 switched to 1.1/8, looks like the fatter headtube though so i'd go for 92.
That one is an 18".
It's had the rear shock changed, standard bike had two black rubbers with yellow plastic spacers (most have rotted away and broke by now), there was an upgrade which was a foam bumper but like the originals most of these will have been replaced or be well past the sell by date.
Seen a number of things being used for the rear shock including suspension bushes off a truck so no big deal.
Model range in 92 went 552 (steel frame), 652, 752, 852, 952, the 852 was the XT model.
Very cool bike, even with the limited travel, bonus with the Vectors
Cheap and should work according to some Retrobikers, haven't recieved them yet though so we'll see
