^ ooo nice dark hair and dark eyes, the perfect combination.

and Alfa Romeo

That means she will break down and leak water on a regular basis

Alfa the heart says yes, the head say NO!

that was long time ago, today cars are basically the same, share the same tech, and lifespan.
its more or less like the idea that mercedes will last you a lifetime like they used to, not anymore.
I have a 156, no problems at all.

Got a few friends that have had alfas from suds to 156/147 yes they are better than they were but the 156 still had plenty of faults. Never had one but would kill for a 33 cloverleaf, failing that a 75 silverstone or a SZ. They have never lost the stigma the got during the 80's when they came with radical self lightening bodywork

Sorry Alfas have a bad rep with me, memories of certain green clover leaf Alfasud Ti , the body breaking away from the floor pan costing 1500 in welding alone just to get it to match the dodgy MOT and then it was forever chasing more rust and electrical problems. Interesting engineering, a lovely growly motor but a sore pity what they wrap it in is crap. It might look the part for a while, take a good look as it rapidly degrades.

Remind me of an old joke in the motor industry,

Why do italians like warm beer?

Cos they all have magnetti marelli fridges.
