Mystery Moulton tip-find - free to next poster - Me...

Well, Chris667 and myself have come to an agreement to create something interesting.

watch this space I guess.

What I had noticed about the moulton is that the angle and lengths look to hide a standard diamond frame which might be their secret....

The Moulton does indeed follow the geometry of a standard bike... the idea [ s ] was [ were ] to create a new comfortable quick bike, good carrying capacity and something anyone could ride, the latter being facilitated by the low frame.

Raleigh have messed it up somewhat by using cheaper ridged forks, hence the strengthening bracket where they all cracked. ..

Moulton was copied by lots of other manufacturers but most if not all did not use suspension, a fatal flaw in a small wheel bike, the Moulton has unfortunately been lumped in with this bad reputation , when in fact they are pretty good machines. I audax, clubride and race on them...

What you have is half a Moulton and half a pile of old cack

You might be able to get some suspension forks to fit. They are available on fleabay or the Moulton forums, or in your case a nearby skip.. no doubt :)
