Mystery Frame... Help!

Bikes are interesting sometimes. Sometimes builder's would use whatever they had on hand. I've had bikes with the previous years decals but the next years tubeset or lugs or seats stay attachment. So who knows???

Whenever you get it built up take some pictures and let us know how it rides.

If it makes you feel better, I have a Faggin SLX King that's 100% SLX and has a Columbus AIR fork that I contacted Christina at Faggin about and all they could say was it was built sometime in the 1980's. Strangely enough, unlike most Faggin's it has the same serial number code as a contract build through the Billato Brothers. So I wonder if it was contracted out and Faggin didn't want to say so??? The one thing that I know is that it is one of the best bikes I've ever ridden. Out of all the high-end bikes I've had the only one that beats it is my Mondonico.

As promised, here she is, finally built up.

Sora/Sensah 9spd (165mm Cranks) group
Vision Team 35 wheelset
38cm Deda Bars
Specialised/BBB finishing kit.

Fun to ride aside from the fact that the only tyre that fits in the frame with a derailleur clamp is a 19c (NOS specialised turbo), which does not mix well with the cobbles up here in Edinburgh. I will look to fit a front mech hanger to the frame and squeeze a 23c in there eventually, but wanted to see how it rode first. So far so good!

That thing is sweet!

How's the Sensah doing? I've been interested in it since Shimano announced it's Cues system and effectively made anything not shifting 11 speed cog spacing obsolete.

I've also been interested in the Box branded shifter's for mountain biking too. They both seem nice. I'm just wondering what the longevity of them are??? I've got two sets of Shimano 6600 shifter's that have tons of miles and they shift great still after 20 year's.

Puts me in mind of a later Peugeot, they made a load of different SLX frames, and by that time they'd ditched the crazy french threading for brackets and headsets.

I'm really impressed with the Sensah brifters. It was a money choice, to be honest, having mangled a set of Sora ones, but they are still very crisp and clean despite two years of almost complete neglect in Scottish riding conditions. If you can live with the Sram-esk double tap system, they are an absolute steal in my books.
