Mysterious Mirage bike

Retro Newbie
Please, I hope someone can help me find out what this bike is and advice what do with it.

I don’t know if I shall use it or sell it and then what to tell, or if anyone would be glad for the parts that can be reused from it.

It says Mirage on the frame, and it’s equipped with Sachs Huret. It seems to be very sparsely used, both cranks and tyres look more or less unused, the patterns are more or less as new on the tires.

There are no signs of either MBK or Motobecane on it, there is some yellow plastic protection, with brand of Tange. I guess both the fork and the frame are from Tange, i.e. Japan.

I also wonder if all the Tange frames were made in Cro-Mo or if also low budget versions existed.

Its cheap mass produced looks like an old raleigh/peugeot type, hard to tell from theses photos. The parts may of been replaced at some point as they look quite new compared to the seat post. What does the badge say on the head tube ? as for what to do with it, if it works use it, as for value not much around the £40 mark if your lucky

Yes, thats my first impression. But after looking at it I dont think it has been updated, the tires are really dry and old but the surface looks unused, also the bar tape seems to be the original.

The only text to be found are Mirage and Tange. The fabrics on the saddle looks unused but it has been eaten by rats, as its been stored away.

Is actually says Tange Unique on the Fork protection capsule. Please find some added som pics.
