my next new build....

Dirt Disciple
Hi there...with many helps from you guys here in retrobike i've completed the research of components for my old and glorious dbr axis tt frame (99)....here you are my build (asap pictures):

frame : Dbr axis tt 18"
wheelset : crossmax original
fork: pace rc 35 (rigid steel convertible to suspended)
groupset: shimano xtr M952
head set : chris king (what else? )
stem and seatpost: thomson elite black
bar: easton ec 70
grips: ritchey true grip wcs foam
saddle : selle italia flite titanium
pedals: shimano spd 747
qr: hope
tyres : kenda karma

This bike has been very important for me, cause i've raced with it all along the dolomites and in Switzerland (first world marathon world championships in Lugano) and France (roc d'azur).....it was a pity to leave the frame nude without components....I was forced to change the frame for a new Seven Sola ti cause the new fork (rs reba world cup) was too long for the geometry of my dbr.....

a '99.....who is the frame made by?

looking forward to seeing the pics.

litespeed...in the lynskey era....it was the last production the one without the hanger for cantilever (only for vee brakes) and with the yellow stickers only DBR not the DIAMOND BACK RACING to be precise...

cheers

not so important but....in 1997 in chateau d'ouex (switzerland) mr Hubert Pallhuber (aka Hubi) won the xc world championships with this frame....

Serious provenance there.

Yeah, if you've got his actual frame......very nice 8)

Just a preview...this was the last build at the roc d'azur 2007...with disc brakes (custom adapter by a very nice mechanic)....
