Well i set out wanting a beetle but couldn't find a suitable one, decided i wanted a karmaan ghia but couldn't really justify the prices, so this is my compromise. Scratches my VW itch, classic insurance and its got a heater that works.

you do spy a leather interior, put in by the last owner...its only the 1.6 GL carb model but he took the interior from a storm.

The clutch seems to be starting to slip a little bit so thats the first thing on the agenda, its so slight that i'm probably good for another 20k miles

The paint job could do with sorting, but the rat look is growing on me, i'm a bit torn...i'll probably leave it as it is i sit inside the car so i don't have to see it.

Having turned my back on Saab 900's and their china gearboxes (4 in 7 years ), I have my sights set on a VR6 Corrado Storm after Ive got this wedding out the way next year....

Brother has a Mint Mk1 Gti, a beetle, and a minter than mint '66 SO42 Splitty, and I have a '63 Beetle as well, so Veedubs sort of run in the family

Love the Scirocco, but I'm more of a 90's boy than an 80's
