pogo im not sure what its like down your way but where i am theres like 80 plus channels and ive got this magic wand thing with buttons and everthing

Yeah but to use it you got to unglue your eyes from the entrancing sight of a buffoon with big hairy chops gurning away on telly. It's was quite mesmerizing and to be honest I thought it was a pi** take at first and was waiting for the scales to fall from my eyes.

Fat Chance...

And BTW the magic wandy thingy is called a remote control. It works on sound scientific principles that are very well understood in this part of the civilised world. Obviously out in your neck-o-the-woods they still cause concern, awe and amazement

The northenisms really got up my nose,
it wasn't far off bloody whippets and flat caps.
Totally hackneyed phrases that said nothing, added nothing but tried to give an air of working class grit or some such stereotypical claptrap.

And as for grooming him as a future Fred Dibnah there is no way he could even walk in the mans shadow. Fred had a fantastic TV personality and he could tell a tale or two and he didn't need to resort to hollering 'Get a brew on lad' to try and give himself some cred

And the bloody tea tasting experiment WTF!?
And don't get me going on the iron casting,
Fred would be turning in his grave...

so....... are you going to watch it next week then ?

each to their own I guess

Very true, at least I gave it a go, no harm in trying.
Now soaps on the other hand- Aggghhhh.....
years of experience teaches you not to go there!
For dullards and the witless only
(just don't tell the wife)! 8)

Caught the last 10 mins.. as a namby pamby speaking Southerner (allegedly), thought it was a decent enough show..

Will probably watch the whole thing on iplayer later..

My kids found the Thomas Crapper bit highly amusing... even the missus seemed to be interested, despite also being a namby pamby Southerner..
