It is, in my opinion, annoying when people use completely the wrong word in leu of the correct word, especially when they have very different meanings. It's time they "bought" a dictionary!

and it appears, wasn't shooting for post-modern-irony, then by rights, and all things sacred, should be beating themselves around the head with previously mentioned ipad, until a reasonable head injury has occurred.

I'd like to think there will be pictures of said ipad (presumably now resembling modern art) and head injury (presumably now resembling modern art) as an appropriate act of contrition and humble grovelling for forgiveness, for being fecking stupid enough to not have the foresight to ensure he didn't commit the same bloody infraction as he was mithering about in the first place.

It is a common mistake and it is all over ebay, gumtree, forums etc.
I doubt it's a typo as it's another letter no where near the correct ones, maybe it's some kind of freudian slip.
No it's not the end of the world, yes we all make mistakes.

Still, I suppose a 1st class degree in English language from Oxford means little these days, especially since it was awarded in 1994
