Music that makes you say...

Alex - Who is this High Flyer guy anyway? When I catch up with him I'll kick his butt. Geddy - Does he have a boat?

Moving Pictures is probably one of my fave Rush albums.

Some of their earlier albums, I maybe only like the odd track from a few albums, but Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, even as late a Signals, is probably my favourite Rush era.

Are you going to see them when they come to the UK in a few weeks? I will be at the NEC gig 22nd May.

I see them every tour, curses of having a seven seater.

They are superb live, real professionals.

When you compare them to some of the young scamps in the biz now, who play an hour at most and string out their tunes for lack of anything else they can play.

Will we see that level of virtuosity again? The ability to extemporise seems to be fizzling out.

This is the thing that gives all these bands legs, their underlying ability.

I don't listen to Rush nowadays, save for when I am in the car with a fan or in someone else's listening zone.

Just can't really feel their latest output.

They will always kick ass live though.

No - not that I wouldn't like to see them again, live - although last time I saw them live would have been 87 ? or 88.

Latest album I've really listened to was Presto. I guess my faves that I listen to are: Moving Pictures, Signals, Grace, Power Windows, Permanent Waves, Hold Your Fire (loved the picture disc from that album with the guy juggling), Presto, Exit Stage Left - probably in that order of preference.

Anything by Killswitch Engage or Dream Theater

Early 90s rock always gets me going as well, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies etc.
