I really hope that doesn't happen to mine....would be such a shame as the paint has the original sheen to it. Anyway, the plus gas didn't help even after clamping a 4ft scaffold pole to the top of the seat post, sweating and swearing a lot. Next step is gonna be tiring but long hacksaw blades down the tube it is :evil:

I tried that too but after six months went with the caustic. See thread for Overbury’s peak finder below. It will ruin your paint.

The thing is is the paint gets ruined I won't be repainting it...just not worth it this time...I am very determined :mrgreen:
