Muddy Fox Courier - which year?

I'm normally a Marin person - but I've picked up this Muddy Fox from the original owner. It was brought from his sisters shop in my town.

I was given the owners manual - but it had no date.

It has perfect Shimano 200gs with thumbies. So I'm guessing 1990 / 91?

It's in pretty good condition after being in storage for a long time. Does anyone have any idea which year?

Probable first year letters N / O / P followed by a month letter
