Loving the workshop, you could run a nice little bike business out of there

Ah... the dream...

Totally 8)

I also had the nightmare of needing to move- landlady passed away, and finding a home and space for my bike workshop and miniature joinery workshop.
Moving the house stuff is the easy bit as you say, but in my case its the saw weighs 250lb, the thicknesser the same, bandsaw and a million tools. At least 12 powertool boxes.Benches etc, dealr lord a nightmare just thinking about it now  Just the thought of having to move and find a home for that i thought a heart attack was going to accompany it all.

Aye seriously nice workshop and a lovely size with original features and NO RENT. Crazy when you're thinking absolutely minimum is 200 sq ft @£1 sq ft.

I eventually moved to exactly the same place by buying the house. Seemed the logical move.

Now that’s a result.

Friend of mine had a similar move when their landlord decided to get out of the renting business.
Had to move her jewelry workshop and his bespoke machining business.
Normal moving co wouldn't touch it (couple of the NC machines were over half a tonne) specialists wanted more than the kit was worth.

So a flat bed, 1t crane and a dozen willing mates over a weekend. (I was on holiday thankfully ;) )

Took them about a month to get straightened out in the new workshop/barn/shed.
The actual house move took them a day.

Oh, then my friend was offered a space in one of those communal workspaces in town, so they had to move all the jewelry stuff again, after running power and ventilation to it........

On the plus side, her other half then had space and power for a couple more machines and some welding kit. Silver lining and all that.
