Hi All

I have a set of Mountain Goat Granola Bar End's in one of my parts bins. As they are quite rare I thought i'd drop in a post so we can all post images and information about them.

Here's my starter for ten:

Mountain Goat makes two pair of what can only be described as a "machinists work of art" handlebar extensions. The Low Calorie Granola Bars are their short version of a cinch style bar end. Each Granola Bar end is entirely machined from a single piece of billet aluminum. They are machined on a Computer Numeric Controlled milling machine of 6061 aluminum that has been solution heat treated to a T-6 hardness. The Granola Bar's overall height is measured at the point of the cinch assembly where it is 28.5mm tall, leaving 3mm in circumference to cinch around the 22.2 handlebar. The hole for the handlebar is beautifully and precisely bored to 8/10's of an inch in depth. The area of the primary grip section, is machined to a 1/2" (12.7mm) thickness and 1 inch (25.4mm) width. The upper and lower outer corners of the grip section are milled with a quarter round radius to soften the edges of hand grip area. The grip section, which is 3 1/4" long, is fixed at a 15 degree angle, from handlebar perpendicular, inward, toward the front tire. On the top side of the grip section, through the middle, a channel is milled, having a width of 12.6mm and a depth of 11.5mm. There are six 9.5mm diameter holes drilled through the remaining lower surface. The milled channel and drilled holes reduce the weight of the finished piece considerably. A stainless steel nutsert is pressed into the cinch assembly and the cinch piece is sawn through to make the mechanism. The Granola Bar uses a cadmium plated steel bolt threaded to 6mm by 1mm thread pitch. It is 20mm long and weighs 6 grams. Two of the Rodon press-in plastic caps written about in the overview are included to cap the handlebar ends. The Low Calorie Granola Bars are anodized in five colors, Blue, Black, Green, Lavender, and Silver. A set of Low Calorie Granola Bars with the included end caps weighs 158 grams.

The Long Granola Bars also known as "regular", are an L-bend style with a primary and secondary grip section. Like the Low Calorie version, these are made of a single piece of 6061 T-6 aluminum alloy, with no seams or joints. The only difference is the added 3 1/4" secondary grip section which bend further inward at an added 45 degree angle. The secondary section has the same height and width dimensions as the primary section and is has a channel milled through the center with five 9.5mm holes passing through the lower surface. A stainless steel nutsert and the cadmium plated 6mm by 1 mm by 20mm length bolt are used again. Two of the Rodon press-in plastic caps written about in the overview are included to cap the handlebar ends. The Granola Bars are anodized in five colorized, Blue, Black, Green, Lavender, and Silver. A set of Granola Bars with the included end caps weighs 228 grams.

Here's mine, they're in the parts bin for now as I have nothing worthy of them.

If you put them very close to one another in the middle of the bars, they serve as very practical salami sausage holders with room for up to 6.
