Why the glorious Mountain Cycle hasn't a place with other famous brands in the Auction watch section ?
I'm always looking for an MC in order to enlarge my collection.

Mountain cycle, while also a brand name, is primarily a description of a type of bike. A quick search for 'mountain cycle' bought up 4,400 results in the UK alone. This is not helped by ebay's predictive searches that group 'bike', 'bicycle' and 'cycle' as the same word, search for one and get all.

I think you'd be best asking for the model names like San Andreas as at least that will bring up manageable numbers of results!

I agree with you but it's the same problem for Specialized or Shimano for example.
If it was possible to have listed (like for Specialized, Fat Chance, etc.) the various models problem would be solved.

not really the same as 'Specialized' is a brand so if someone searches for 'Specialized' then they just get bikes made by Specialized. My point is that if you search for 'Mountain Cycle' you will get the brand 'Mountain Cycle' and many thousands of other hits related to mountain cycles/mountain bikes/mountain bicycles that are totally unrelated to the brand Mountain Cycles

Right, but if you specify the model you are searching for like Tremor or Moho, the search is accurate. All this like Specialized for M2 or SWorks.

If there is an omission from Auction Watch is probably because I forgot, always happy to add brands.

I've added Mountain Cycle and some various model including of course San Andreas. If you search ebay using brackets it tightens the search up quite a bit, for example searching using

(Mountain Cycle)

Picks up a little junk but isn't too bad. You'll have to click through to auction watch to try it, can't link from here due to the forum not liking brackets in URLs.

Enjoy 8)
