Y282’s GT mtb to bmx cruiser conversion…

Love it! The straight forks are excellent 👏
Thanks, they're DMR jump forks, I have another set of Identiti forks but they come without brake bosses, which were originally fitted to my '99 GT Tequesta, but realised I prefer to have both front and rear V brakes.
Those DMR forks were the closest I could find to resemble the look of the old 80's GT BMX forks. Referring to angle at which the legs are welded to the steerer tube. I do like the looks of these forks on the Tempest.
It is a great bike to ride too, very smooth thanks in part thanks to the DMR Moto tyres and a Shimano XT drivetrain! 😁

Very small but (to me) important update. Finally got round to fitting an actual singlespeed rear cog. Solid and mirrored so really goes well with polished alloy spacers. Also realised I'd been running slightly wrong chainline for years but old setup didn't really show it. So, after a bit of jiggling, it's now completely finished. Drivetrain is soooper smooth and silent :)
