I decided to call our insurer yesterday to make sure my bike was covered.
According the the call centre, it is insured for £75,000 whilst inside the boundaries of my home, which is my contents limit.
I cannot see an individual item claim limit for bikes specified in the policy.
Cover outside the home was available as a policy extension but at the ridiculous cost of £18/month on top of my regular premium. This is for a £2,000 insured value.
Personally, I think the above is all a load of rubbish but I wondered if anyone else was insured with Morethan and had a different story? I'm going to write to them to confirm cover levels but any input would be great.
On a different note, maybe John can answer this, but with the amount of members we have here, perhaps an insurer would be interested in offering a discount to members of RB, since we are a unique community in a specialist area? I know insurers do this for other forums such as specialist car sites etc.
