For anyone with a Cooks Cruiser or BMX frame, the most difficult thing is finding the CBR parts to go with it.

...and if you thought old mountain bike stuff was expensive, old-school BMX stuff is eye-wateringly £$£$.

This guy has NOS bars, stem, seat clamp etc. Those things really don't come up for sale very often... In any condition.
5 items (4 NOS) should create some excitement

None of it looks very bling, but just watch it go.
All priced in Euros so, with the dollar being trashed, US collectors will need to dig VERY deep.

Not a bad total.
The handlebars alone went for > USD $1,000.

[... where can I hire a pipe-bender...!]

Well, whadya know...

The same seller has just listed a pair of Cook Bros/ Araya wheels:

and an unused early, gussetted frame:

I wonder which Dutch goldmine this little NOS beauty turned up in.
Somebody certainly spent some money to buy that bike: Having all the correct Cooks parts on one of their frames was/is pretty much unheard of (due to cost, but also shops struggled to get hold of the parts, even in the U.S.)

Madness

OK - I am genuinely shocked by that...
$2,175USD for a Hutch BMX number plate...

I just don't know what to say.
But if the buyer is happy, then it's all OK.
Isn't Ebay wonderful!
