Update on my Gary Fisher Cake build, now sporting mavic on hope wheels with some decent tyres, found a Bonty Race stem in the shed & an xt rear mech, still undecided whether to upgrade to 9 or leave as 8 speed as I now have parts for either, I also have a choice of chainset from xtr octolink cranks with pace rings or xt hollowtech cranks & std rings, either will req a new bb so I will have a ponder for the time being. As it stands the whole thing weighs in at a fraction under 30lbs the downside being the standover height is a bit on the snug side, hence my quest in another thread for a different frame, mike. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/836 ... 1_1024.jpg
