hi all, for those of you that have seen my other thread about my skip find i think i have now found some wheels to go with it, i know nothing about wheels or indeed bikes so any help would be appreciated!
I have been offered a set of wheels, i thought they might be good for skippy, as the fuji has been named!
The wheels are mavic m231cd rims laced with unknown spokes to some deore xt hubs, they are not disk hubs, and i dont know what xt they are, i will try to upload some pics when and if i get them, the bloke wants 40 quid for the pair with some rather worn tyres on them, they run true from my cursory look but a few of the spokes on the rear wheel seem to have a slight bit more play in them than the ones on the front.
EDIT
Also they come with anodised blue qr skewers that seem ok but again i know nothing and an unknown 7 speed cassete that is worn but functional!
Basically to questions, is it expensive to have someone tweak the rear spokes or easy to do yourself?
AND
Are they worth £40 for the pair?
Any help greatly apreciated!!!
regards, keef
