Gone to somebody that enquired about it before me....me being the **** thread starter...what a **** shithouse c*nt.
Since when do wanted threads demand a sale; it's not like you went to his thread, and claimed dibs, that's even if dibs were being taken, as it is the seller's discretion to pick and choose to whom he should sell.
"Wanted" ads are looking for a favor. If the favor isn't granted, why be mad? Why not look for the item yourself, rather than looking for it to be dropped into you lap. Then crying when it doesn't fall in your hand.
I'm sure you going off in this manner is really going to encourage anyone else to offer you a part you are seeking. Brilliant.

On his IF ti build thread I spotted the Moots seat-post and stem and expressed an interest (on 2nd June) if he decided to sell.

He contacted me and we were in discussion prior to your wanted ad being posted.
I am sure his reply to your ad was genuine in case a deal wasn't done with me.

Call it what you want down Bronxville our kid, where i'm from when you're on with someone you're on ...the reluctance from the seller to declare a price (after reading my messages twice) but being perfectly willing to ask for address for pic's/and sending 'em.. tell even a numb-nut whats gone on. For fhe record they are usually called 'cock-off merchants' and the practice deemed sharp at best. By the way..a seller of goods ain't doing the buyer a favour...the buyer is backing his/her call with $'s....different dance i'm afraid. Some manners on the firm is a good call.

Where I'm from you don't carry on like this over the internet; it called being a keyboard warrior, with all the name calling and posturing, amounting in nothing; biting off your nose to spite your face.
Moots posts in 27.2, even layback, aren't the rarest of birds, and another one will turn up. If you don't like the way a deal went down, simply don't deal with that person again. It's called a shit list/blocked persons/etc...
and yes, anyone responding to a "wanted" request ad, is doing the buyer a favor, in helping him source an item. In this community, it's not a merchant's market. I find many of the people I do business with, I become friendly with, and it's a reciprocal relationship. No one is perfect, but you went over the top with all that shit talking, on another member in good standing.
