Mondraker foxy carbon R bolt removal has hit a snag, help needed

Thanks. I don't have a pitch guage but tried to get a pic that could help confirm dimensions needed.

I recon it means it's 1..0 pitch as there's 10 threads in a 1cm length of the overall shaft.

Looking at the trek bolt spec, they could be a match, the only thing I'm not sure about is the length. 20 or 21mm? Assume measurements are not including the button head?

I misread the exploded diagram, the bolt is m10x20 so I think I've answered my own question.

I think my only outstanding question is how can I tell how much thread Vs plain shaft there is on the trek bolts?

I'm going to guess that bearings on trek bikes are a standard width and therefore the same as Mondraker ones, or is that a silly assumption?

My concern is that there was lateral play in the linkage as it was bolted up, and as there are no spacers to take up any slack, I'm hoping that the issue was that the previous owner didn't tighten the bolts fully (maybe the rounded heads?) which was why there was play? I want to be able to tighten fully without running out of thread.

Bolt lengths are always excluding head, i.e shaft only (although I'm sure if someone's going to ignore that ISO way of doing things, it'll be the MTB industry). A standard sized bearing is going to be 6-8mm wide depending on diameter and spec they've gone for. I'm going to guess at 7mm for those but I may be wrong, it's happened once before.

You say there were no spacers, did you not have part 13 from the diagram you posted earlier which looks like a top hat bush (unsure if it's alu or delrin etc)? Or do you mean between the swingarm and bearing?

Success. I managed to get the bolts out using the laser tool recommended. It didn't work from the outside hex, that just span pretty easily so clearly the previous owner really did a job on that.

On the other end, worked a charm.

Don't think I'll be able to re-use them and a full link kit is £85 and I really only need the two bolts.

I'd like to think I can find some alternative bolts rather than buy a full kit.

I'll measure the vitals on the ones that came out and hopefully I can source some.

Aside from the trek option mentioned, anyone else found a good source of suspension pivot bolts?
They also look VERY similar to Transition bolts which are available individually from Windwave. Maybe installed with red rather blue Locktite? Or over tightened bec no thread lock?

Re full kit only have you done full dismantle now and know that you don’t need anything else from kit?

I needed dozens of bits doing a Spire rebuild recently.

Try importer for individual bolts?
Try Mondraker themselves?

I’m

The top hats are present, it's just there was play with everything as the bike came. I hope it's simply down to the bolts not being able to be tightened fully.

All other bolts and things seem fine, just need to decide if it's worth just getting bolts that may fit Vs a full kit which will, but at a significant cost.
