Here's a shot of my marathon race bike the bumblebee Turner Flux. For everyday riding I use the 5 Spot though. :)

to be fair the turners are the only bikes that have decent bushings, so as a generall rule i'd always recommend bearings over bushings. wet areas? yeh surface water to 3in deep & more 5months of the year, i'd say i live in a wet area. 4years on the same set of bearings & havent had need to touch them...
 
Just got me a nice Santa Cruz Superlight.. For a song too 8)

A proven design and favourite amongst the mags.. Not long travel tho, only 100mm, but good enough for the North & South Downs :wink:

my mate curlys got the identical frame (size, colour & year!) get the shock custom valved @ mojo dude, makes a massive improvement to pedalling performance. solid rig the superlite :)

Hmm that is tempting...I shall keep my eye out for something similar...plus as you know, no duty here!
