Modern chainset question

I have been building a road bike but it's stalled. All done bar the cabling.

The main reason it's stalled is I'm not quite happy with the chainset, or at least I think I'm not.

Running a 2x10 rival and force drive train. Chainset currently fitted is a new fsa gossamer pro. I go through phases of liking it and not.

I'm sure it's a decent chainset if the RRP is anything to go by, but I also have and FSA pro carbon chainset and FSA ti megaquad Isis BB for it.

I guess my question is, given the choice of the two, which would be the better option.

Isis Vs external BB is probably the difference, though the carbon arms do look much nicer.

Matching always looks better IMO. The black alloy 2x10-era Rival chain set is sleek and mega discrete looking. I might actually have one if you’re looking. I think bb-wise there aren’t any issues with SRAM. The only bb I’d actively avoid is that Race Face Team one which has the ‘wrong’ type of bearings in it and only lasts 1000-2000 miles before going wobbly. There’s a direct Shimano alternative for that one anyway.

Fsa gossamer pro is not very nice.
The nds fixing is unreliable and the bbs don't last well.
Individual experience will vary, but we take a lot off bikes knackered before their time.
They come OE because they are cheaper than their retail price implies.
