Modern carbon road frame

It's been on my mind for a while to swap my road frame for a carbon one. A bit of a luxury as I'm just starting out on the road really, but I'm keen to see what's out there. It would need to fit a rider between 5'11 and 6', be light (of course), decent nick, nothing too garish, with or without fork but it would be handy to have a complete headset fitted. Not got a budget for anything top end, but otherwise willing to consider any options...

Hi there,

I have a Bianchi 928L carbon frame & forks. It's redundant to my needs as I have too many bikes!

Good condition, a few paint chips on the rear drive-side seat stay but other than that it's externally sound. The metal BB thread/sleeve which is bonded to the BB shell is working loose and will require rebonding at some point. I sent an enquiry to a carbon frame specialist and they said it's fine to ride on as-is and it's not uncommon for this to happen on a carbon frame.

It's a 56cm, rides and climbs beautifully too. I can include the original FSA carbon headset & bianchi carbon spacers too.

It's hard to put a price on it - i'd estimate the repair at around £100 so I think £250ono is fair.

Thanks Martin, though I wouldn't be willing to spend so much on a frame with the possibility/cost of successful repair rather up in the air - not really after a project for this one. Cheers

I have a Felt F4 frame in a 56, no fork but I think the headset is still in there. I can check in the morning. I do have some Litespeed forks that would fit but they are not colour matched.
Its all sound, BB threads are good. looking for £120 for the frame and £45 for the forks.
Can do some pics tomorrow if you are interested.

I have a Kuota Ksano frameset in 60cm flavour and around 9/10 condition. A few other lightweight parts as well. Quite a sexy looking frame with the sculpted tubes, but I've decided to stick with steel.

Sorry for the slow to messages but thanks for the offers. A giant car bill recently has meant I haven't quite the spare cash I thought I might have for this experiment. Longbeech's Felt F4 is pretty close to doing the job for the right kind of money, though the frame specs meant a few other changes I'd have to make as well, making it less a bit less feasible on a budget.

110gsm carbon - as used by a well known pro team from the USofA
Frame and forks - could leave the King headset in.
It is in good condition... rarely ridden in the wet - never dropped.
