Modern brakes that fit nutted frames?

Hi folks

I have a newly acquired 1986/87 model year Atala road frame with Columbus Aelle pipes. Much to my surprise it uses the older nutted brakes, not the modern recessed allen bolt types - unusual for a frame of this period (I thought nutted fittings where phased out in about the year 1980).

The Suntour Sprint brakes from 1986 I had for this build won't fit.

Is there anybody who still makes brakes for old nutted frames or anyway to convert? How much would it cost to get the frame drilled?

Cheers

Try St John St cycles as they carry some special replacement threaded shaft which allows modification of some modern callipers. They also have callipers that will fit anyway IIRC.
