On a whole new level of sacrilege, I've just fitted a tange cartridge square taper BB into a 50's Bates. But hey, as long as word doesn't get out all will be fine

I have Royce, Raceface Taperlock, White Industries, and various UN71/72/90/91s in use all have been great.
New though I struggle to look past these Tange 7922 hollow Cromo axle so relatively light at 235g for a 68x110mm, not crazy money and seem to last well. A worthy successor to the UN-72 I think.
