Honestly, I don't think I ever managed more than 15 miles on the damn things without getting a puncture. I replaced them with a set of Schwalbe Sammy Slicks which have a "Raceguard" protection belt; I still get the occasional puncture, but maybe one every 100 or so miles.
Maybe it's where I ride, there's a lot of flint where I am, and when I get a puncture it's almost always a small sliver of sharp flint that's the cause, in other parts of the country this may not be such an issue.
In any case, this is a Sammy Slick, quite similar to the Wildgripper:
